In the late afternoon, visit Katwe Crater Lake to tour the traditional salt mines, see the salt pans and worker huts, interact with local miners, and learn about the centuries-old harvesting process that supplies Uganda, Congo, and Rwanda. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 5
Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable N.P via Ishasha Sector
This drive to Bwindi passes through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park and doubles as a game drive. Keep binoculars ready to spot the famous tree-climbing lions perched in sycamore fig or acacia trees. Ishasha is home to about four prides (over 40 lions total), many with distinctive black manes, plus large herds of 1000+ elephants, Topi antelopes, and Uganda Kob. Enjoy excellent photo opportunities along the route. Continue through scenic landscapes of banana plantations, lush valleys, and dense forests to reach your Bwindi lodge. Arrive in the late afternoon, check in, unwind, and prepare for tomorrow’s gorilla adventure.

You are up at leisure and enjoy your breakfast. At 9.00am, depart Lake Bunyonyi and head to Lake Mburo National Park. This small park is the only park in Uganda with Eland, Impala antelopes and Burchell’s Zebras. The scenery of rolling hills, lakes, swamps make Africa real, it is where the Tanzanian Savannah meets Uganda in a most scenic fashion. You arrive, check-in at Eagles Nest Mburo Camp and enjoy a hot lunch. After lunch, you go out on boat trip. On this trip, look out for lots of marine birds. Along the banks, you will see lots of animals coming to water especially during the dry season. There are hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, antelopes and zebras. Also, three kinds of otters are found in the lake itself. When it comes to birds you can see Malachite Kingfishers, Pied Kingfishers, African Fish Eagles, Rufous Long-tailed Starlings, Blue-headed Weavers, Green-necked Doves, Hammerkops, Pelicans, Herons, Cormorants and more. Following the boat cruise, go on a game drive to explore the picturesque park. Later, return to the camp for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, drive west across central Uganda toward Kibale Forest National Park, passing through fertile green belts with banana plantations, coffee, tea, tropical fruits, and other crops, via the towns of Mityana and Mubende. DAY 08
Bush Walk, Drive to Entebbe & Departure
Lake Mburo National Park is one of two parks in Uganda where visitors can go on a bush walk to see nature and game from a different perspective. You sign-up an armed Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) ranger to accompany you on your bush walk as it is not allowed to go on this walk without an armed ranger. This morning, you are up at 7.00am and head out for a walking safari. The walk offers you an opportunity to spot mammals that are active at night before they disappear off the savannah grassland. After your game activity this morning, return to the lodge and enjoy breakfast. After breakfast, you say goodbye to Lake Mburo – headed to Entebbe airport for your onward flight home. On your drive to Entebbe, you will make a stop at the Equator Crossing along the Kampala-Masaka road. Here, you take some fun pictures and purchase souvenirs and crafts from your Uganda safari. After your lunch, you will continue onto Entebbe. At Entebbe, you are dropped off at the airport in time for you to check-in for your onward flight home.
